Mat Pilates - Pilates is a form of exercise developed by Joseph Pilates which emphasizes the balanced development of the body through core strength, flexibility and control through fluid movement. Beginning levels may burn up to 240 calories. Intermediate up to 338 calories and 424 calories for advanced. Beginning classes through advanced can be from 10 exercises to 40 exercises. Pilates uses your own body with modifications only if need be.
Mat Pilates w/ Small Apparatus - Taking all of mat pilates beginning through advanced movement and concepts and using small apparatus which can include pilates rings, therabands, foam rollers and physio balls to create more stretch, resistance and mobility. Mat Pilates with small apparatus is therapeutic and challenging.
The Reformer - Discover the benefits of exercising on the Pilates Reformer, one of the best pieces of pilates equipment. The Reformer adds resistance for pilates method exercises and can provide support to beginners and challenges to more advanced student. Springboard Pilates - Classes in groups of 4 are appropriate for any age or fitness level. Pilates springboard offers its own resistances to complement the movements of the body for maximum fitness. Pilates Boot Camp - This class utilizes all the pilates equipment. Each person will work on the reformer, springboards, mat and exo chair. The class provides a full body workout. You will work through a routine of challenging movements to strengthen stretch and lengthen your body. You should complete an initial evaluation session and 1 private reformer classes to be familiar with pilates equipment etc. Must call to reserve spot in class. We can accommodate up to 8 students in a class.
Cardio Reformer – A fun, innovative circuit workout. Get your heart rate up for optimal fat burning. While you simultaneously build muscle, improve cardiovascular efficiency without the jarring effects of regular high impact workouts. Unlike jumping on the ground or even a trampoline, the body is supported in a position which offers optimal bio feedback for sustaining a neutral pelvis, spine and shoulder posture. Cadillac – This beautiful piece of Pilates equipment looks pretty intimidating but is very therapeutic and fun. Only offered in private Pilates sessions, this machine has a lot of features of the springboard. This machine has many exercises from beginning to extreme advanced.
Spinning - Spin is an aerobic exercise that takes place indoors on an indoor cycle. As you pedal, motivating music plays and your certified experienced instructor talks you through a visual outdoor experience workout. You take your ride up hill, down hill and turns in the road. You vary your pace from going really fast to cranking up the tension and pedaling slow. From standing and sitting positions as well. Spinning can burn serious calories from 450 for a 45 minute class. Zumba - This is a fusion of latin and african beat. Music that will have you dancing to salsa-merenge etc. High energy! Prepare to sweat!
Kettlebell – Russian Kettlebell training has been around since the early 1700′s but has only become popular recently due to the intense workouts you can get using them. Kettlebells train you cardiovascularly and anabolically in one exercise. You can increase your overall fitness levels and tone up muscles. It’s all in the repetitions, 20 or more, and non-stop movement in 30 minute workouts. Increase your strength, endurance and muscle tone in just 10 workouts.
H.E.A.T. – H.E.A.T. is an explosive, high impact, plyometric and resistance training class. By combining the use of training equipment such as: hurdles, speed ladders, bosu balls, versa discs, cones, and medicine balls, H.E.A.T. packs a full body workout like no other. This is the first time this type training has been presented in an aerobic fitness class setting. H.E.A.T. is suitable for men and women of all ages; all exercises and drills are designed to fit each individual’s strength and ability level. This progressive program follows workout plans given by top strength and conditioning specialists to elite professional athletes.
